“The only thing I can say now is that the movie’s title is ‘Honeymoon in Shillong’,” said Sachin.
A poster of the movie with the name of the movie’s director, S P Nimbawat, producer A R Sir, and the casting director Aakash Sharma was put up on a wall of a room of the Raghuvanshi family’s house. Under the poster was placed late Raja’s garlanded portrait.
Nimbawat was present with the Raghuvanshi family at their house today.
The shocking murder case that caught the attention of the entire country, as also the foreign media, is still subjudiced in a Shillong court.
Raja Raghuvanshi (29), a transport businessman of Indore, got married to Sonam Raghuvanshi (25), also from Indore, on 11 May. They reached Shillong in Meghalaya on 20 May, for their honeymoon. However, both went missing there on 23 May. Later on 2 June, Raja’s body was found in a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra (Cherrapunji) area.
The Meghalaya Police registered a case of murder and launched investigations even as Sonam remained missing for the next seven days, despite extensive search operations.
Sonam was eventually located at a dhaba at Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of 9 June and arrested on the suspicion of being the ain mastermind behind her husband’s murder.
Following that, four more accused were arrested, including three suspected hired killers from Indore and Bina in Madhya Pradesh, and another suspect from Uttar Pradesh.
The Meghalaya Police took all the four men, Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Chauhan, Anand Kurmi, and Akash Rajput, on transit remand from a Court at Indore to Shillong on 10 June.
